Following in the footsteps of Christ, by the spirit of St. Francis
WELCOME

Dear Friend,

Welcome to the Franciscans of the Holy Spirit.  We are a community that strives to be transformative.  Responding to God's call to preach the Gospel and in the word's of St. Francis of Assisi, become "instruments of peace", in the world.  Following Jesus Christ who said "blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God" ~ Matthew 5:9

We are a community of Franciscans that embraces a spirit-filled experience of God's unconditional love and compassion. A community who like St. Francis, offers inclusion to the outcast; to the rejected, acceptance; to the afflicted, comfort; to the despondent, hope; and to the troubled, peace.

We are all traveling a sacred journey and we invite you to share in our journey, and share yours with us.

Please, remember us in your prayers, and fill out a prayer request for you to be remembered in ours.  Let us hear from you ...!

Wishing you many wonderful blessings.

Fr. Joseph, f.h.s.
Minister General

Franciscans of the Holy Spirit is a non-residential community of vowed Sisters and Brothers, in the tradition of the Third Order Regular. We have come together to live out our Baptismal call to holiness,  by the witness of  our lives, following Sts. Francis and Clare of Assisi, who made Christ the center and inspiration of their lives.

Our lives as Franciscans are formed and committed to prayer, social outreach to the poor, the marginalized, the sick, the most vulnerable of society. As a Religious Community, we are not under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Rome, nor the Roman Catholic Church.

We are affiliated and form part of the Communion of Synodal Catholic Churches, who "seeks to actively engage ALL people, in a more progressive Catholic tradition.

We take seriously the freedom of faith and conscience of the individual."   We share our Franciscan joy in building relationships, through faith, compassion, inclusion and acceptance.
